How It Compares
The GTR sits above the Dragon GTS V2 in single-motor power but below the dual-motor Cyclone and Slayer. Compared to the GTS V2 (dual 500W motors, 1600W peak), the GTR has a single more efficient 800W motor with a 1200W peak — better for sustained hill climbing without the heat buildup of dual-motor systems. The 10" all-terrain tubeless tyres give it genuine off-road capability that the GTS V2’s semi-slick road tyres don’t offer. If you ride on mixed surfaces including gravel or grass, the GTR is the better choice.
Who Is This For?
- Riders who need genuine all-terrain capability — gravel, grass, and sealed roads
- Heavier riders up to 120 kg who need a 1200W motor for confident hill climbing
- Commuters covering 20–35 km daily on varied terrain
- Riders who want a single powerful motor rather than dual-motor complexity
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Dragon GTR road-legal in Australia?
In its 25 km/h road-legal mode, the GTR meets Australian shared path regulations. The 45 km/h top speed is for private property use only. Check your local state regulations.
Can it handle off-road terrain?
Yes — the 10" all-terrain tubeless tyres and dual front/rear suspension make the GTR capable on gravel, grass, and light trails. It’s not a dedicated off-road scooter, but handles mixed terrain confidently.
What is the real-world range?
The GTR is rated at 45 km. In real-world conditions (hills, stop-start, rider weight ~80 kg), expect 25–35 km per charge.
How does the GTR compare to the Dragon Cyclone?
The Cyclone has a more powerful 1000W continuous / 1800W peak motor and is also all-terrain capable. The GTR is lighter (26 kg vs 29 kg) and more affordable. Choose the Cyclone if you need maximum single-motor power; choose the GTR for a better price-to-performance ratio.
What warranty does it come with?
The Dragon GTR includes a 2-year warranty on the frame and structure. Contact Urban Wheelz for full warranty terms and local service support.
