How It Compares
The Ninja and Dragon Eagle share the same dual 800W / 2200W motor setup, but differ in a few key areas. The Ninja has a slightly smaller 15.6Ah battery (vs 16.5Ah on the Eagle) and 9.5" tubeless tyres (vs 10" pneumatic on the Eagle) — tubeless tyres are puncture-resistant and lower maintenance than pneumatic. The Ninja also has a higher rated top speed (55 km/h vs 50 km/h) and is 2 kg heavier (29 kg vs 27 kg). Compared to the Dragon Slayer 22Ah (dual 800W, 2400W peak), the Ninja is lighter and more affordable but has less peak power and range. Choose the Ninja for a 2025 platform with tubeless tyres; choose the Eagle for a larger battery and 10" wheels.
Who Is This For?
- Daily commuters on sealed roads who want dual 800W acceleration in a 2025 platform
- Riders who prefer tubeless tyres for lower maintenance and puncture resistance
- Security-conscious riders who want NFC anti-theft protection
- Riders up to 120 kg covering 20–35 km daily
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Dragon Ninja road-legal in Australia?
In its 25 km/h road-legal mode, the Ninja meets Australian shared path regulations. The 55 km/h top speed is for private property use only. Check your local state regulations.
What are the advantages of tubeless tyres?
Tubeless tyres don’t have an inner tube, so a puncture doesn’t cause an immediate flat — the tyre sealant can seal small holes while riding. They’re also lighter and run at lower pressures for better grip. The trade-off is they can be harder to repair if severely damaged.
What does electric regen braking do?
Regenerative braking recovers some energy when you brake and feeds it back into the battery, slightly extending range. It also provides smoother, more progressive braking than a pure mechanical system.
What is the real-world range?
The Ninja is rated at 45 km. In real-world conditions (hills, dual-motor use, rider weight ~80 kg), expect 28–38 km per charge.
What’s the difference between the Ninja and the Eagle?
The Ninja has 9.5" tubeless tyres (vs 10" pneumatic on the Eagle), a slightly smaller 15.6Ah battery (vs 16.5Ah), and a higher rated top speed (55 km/h vs 50 km/h). Both share the same dual 800W / 2200W motor and NFC security. Choose the Ninja for tubeless tyres and the 2025 platform; choose the Eagle for a larger battery and bigger wheels.
