Pickup available in-store at Urban Wheelz — Cairns Flagship Segway Store, 88–90 Mulgrave Road, Cairns QLD 4870.
The Segway F3 bridges the gap between entry-level commuter scooters and premium performance models. With a 1000W peak motor, front hydraulic and rear elastomer suspension, and 10" self-sealing tubeless tyres, it handles city commutes and rougher urban terrain with confidence. The SegRange system extends battery range by 20% without adding extra weight.
The F3 sits above the F65 and E3 Pro in the Segway range. Compared to the F65, the F3 adds hydraulic suspension, self-sealing tyres, and a more powerful 1000W motor — making it significantly better for rough footpaths and steeper hills. Compared to the F3 Pro, the F3 has a slightly lower max power (1000W vs 1200W) and IPX5 vs IPX6 water resistance, but is otherwise very similar. If you’re deciding between the F3 and F3 Pro, the Pro is worth it if you ride in heavy rain or need maximum hill-climbing torque.
Is the Segway F3 road-legal in Australia?
Yes. In its standard 25 km/h mode, the F3 meets Australian shared path regulations. Road legality varies by state — check your local rules before riding on public roads.
How do the self-sealing tyres work?
The 10" tubeless tyres contain a sealant layer that automatically fills small punctures (nails, screws) while you ride. You won’t notice a flat — the tyre seals itself. This eliminates the most common maintenance issue with pneumatic scooter tyres.
What is SegRange?
SegRange is Segway’s proprietary range-extension technology that optimises motor efficiency, tyre rolling resistance, and energy recovery algorithms to deliver 20% more range from the same battery capacity compared to standard scooters.
Can I add an external battery?
Yes — an optional 477Wh external battery (sold separately) connects to the F3 and extends range to 130 km in eco mode. It can also be charged independently.
What’s the difference between the F3 and F3 Pro?
The F3 Pro has a higher 1200W peak motor (vs 1000W), IPX6 water resistance (vs IPX5), front disc brakes on both wheels, and Segway Airlock auto-lock. If you ride in heavy rain or need maximum hill torque, the Pro is worth the upgrade.
