What Makes It Different
The AUSOM L2 stands out in the dual 800W category for two reasons: its swingarm suspension design and its 130 kg payload capacity. Swingarm suspension — borrowed from motorcycle engineering — links the rear wheel to the frame via a pivoting arm, providing more controlled and progressive suspension travel than simple spring setups. This gives the L2 a more planted, stable feel at speed compared to scooters with basic spring suspension. The 130 kg payload is also higher than most dual 800W scooters in this class, making it a strong choice for heavier riders.
Who Is This For?
- Heavier riders up to 130 kg who need a dual 800W scooter with a high payload rating
- Riders who want swingarm suspension for a more controlled, motorcycle-inspired ride feel
- Commuters covering 30–60 km daily who want 70 km range with E-ABS braking confidence
- Security-conscious riders who want NFC anti-theft protection
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the AUSOM L2 road-legal in Australia?
In its 25 km/h road-legal mode, the L2 meets Australian shared path regulations. The 55 km/h top speed is for private property use only. Check your local state regulations.
What is swingarm suspension?
A swingarm suspension links the rear wheel to the frame via a pivoting arm, allowing the wheel to move up and down independently of the frame. This is the same principle used in motorcycles and provides more controlled, progressive suspension travel than simple spring setups — particularly noticeable on rough surfaces and at higher speeds.
What is E-ABS braking?
E-ABS (Electronic Anti-lock Braking System) uses the motor to provide additional braking force and prevent wheel lockup during hard stops — working alongside the mechanical disc brakes for safer, more controlled deceleration.
What is the real-world range?
The L2 is rated at 70 km. In real-world conditions (dual-motor use, hills, rider weight ~90 kg), expect 42–58 km per charge.
